Personal information
Babenko V.N. Graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1985 with a degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics. After defending his Ph.D. thesis since 1993, Babenko V.N. the post of senior researcher In 2000 V.N. Babenko worked in Cape Town, South Africa at the University of the Western Cape (UWC) from 1999 to 2001 to analyze alternative splicing in mass sequencing data (ESTs) in STACK database. From 2001 to 2003 V.N. Babenko was invited to the University of Pennsylvania, USA, to work on a high-throughput sequencing data annotation project (DoTs). From 2003 to 2006, VN Babenko worked as a researcher in the laboratory of the National Institute of Health in the United States on the topic "study of the evolution of the exon-intron structure of eukaryotic genes." V.N. Babenko currently works at the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SB RAS, is a specialist in computer genomics, bioinformatics and human genetics. Babenko V.N. is the author of over 100 scientific publications. He was the winner of scientific research competitions, a participant in grants from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Russian Science Foundation. Babenko V.N. defended his Ph.D. thesis "Research of criteria for testing the Hardy-Weinberg distribution" in biology in 1992. His research interests include computer genomics, genetics, analysis of the evolution of the exon-intron structure of eukaryotic genes. Overall scientific experience is over 30 years. Babenko V.N. conducts active teaching work (lectures) on the structure of the eukaryotic genome, is a consultant on mathematical data processing for NSU students.
